Spending the holidays in Hilton Head is one of my favorite reasons to live in such a magnificent place. The days are sunny and just warm enough, the nights are cool but not cold and the sights are breathtaking.

Fall Festivals!!!

The fall is my favorite time of year on Hilton Head Island. The heat from the summer is gone and the cool breeze fills the evenings. Even more exciting are all the festivals and events on Hilton Head this time of year. Every Saturday and Sunday there is something new to see, attend and most of the time eat! Some of my favorite gatherings are held at the Honey Horn Plantation and the Shelter Cove Memorial Park. The Hilton Head Chamber of Commerce is a great resource for the current happening in town. Coming up this weekend is the 26th Annual Chili Cook-Off at Honey Horn Plantation and the following weekend is the 6th Annual Bluffton Seafood and Arts in historic downtown Bluffton. I am most anticipating the 10th Annual Hilton Head Motoring Festival and Concours d'Elegance happening at the end of month. More to come later, this was just a small sampling of how I plan to spend my Fall on Hilton Head.

Italian Heritage Festival Saturday 9/23

Fall and Spring on Hilton Head Weekends means there will always be a FESTIVAL!!! The fall kicks off tomorrow with the 2nd Annual Italian Heritage Festival at the Shelter Cove Park, mid-island. Be sure to wear shorts so you can participate in the grape stomping (and if you do, please send us pictures, as we know they will be priceless :-))

"Had a wonderful vacation at this well-maintained beach home. Location is perfect. Close to Coligny Plaza = ice cream, bakery, restaurants and shops. Steps to the beach. Fabulous views from both outdoor deck areas. Outdoor seating allows you to eat outside if you want but also plenty of room indoors for everyone to sit down together. 3rd floor area is a perfect retreat for the older kids that were with us. "Our stay in 21 Night Heron was wonderful. The house is totally updated, nice and clean. We normally stay in a 3 bedroom home, this time we didn't need the extra room. 21 Night Heron was nicer than the house we stayed in 2010 and cheaper. This was our 9th time going to Hilton Head Island. Beachside Getaway was absolutely wonderful, easy to work with, all around class act. Alli is so nice!! I will say the walk to the beach was longer than we are use to, but hey who can't use some exercise :) it was a little over a 5 minute walk. We seen alligators behind the house in the lagoon. That was neat. The only improvement I could suggest is maybe have a few more bath towels and wash cloths in the house, that way you wouldn't have to wash towels everyday. Over all this is a wonderful place to stay and a wonderful company to rent from! Thank you Beachside Getaway :) We will return next year! " - AB On 21 Night Heron
